Job Responsibilities
Creating rough-draft templates using computer drafting software and freehand techniques.
Measuring, cutting, and designing patterns in the material required & sending the initial pattern for a manufacture check.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design models & proficient with computer drafting software including CAD.
Experience with measuring, snipping, milling, and cutting tools & detail oriented.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods & prepare and develop patterns independently.
Verify & check patterns, buyer comments to ensure the accuracy of the measurements of garments.
Communicate with the product development team to make the product feasible for production and at the same time meet customers’ demands.
Arrange style-wise pattern designing and pattern grading to ensure zero error cutting.
Ensure cost reduction by achieving optimum efficiency of CAD and making 100% accurate markers.
Regular follow-up with sampling, photo samples, size sets, fit samples and production samples also examine sketches, sample articles, and design specifications to determine quantities, shapes, and sizes of pattern parts, and to determine the amount of material or fabric required to make a product.
Provide instructions to factories on pattern making/ grading, garment construction and sewing operations and find alternatives & monitor fit, measurements and workmanship according to the customer requirements, from Development to Production.
Evaluate the sample for fit, proportion, silhouette, seam positions and other design features and subsequently make the necessary rectifications whilst consulting the sample room manager in the event of complications.
Requirements:
Experience in western wear style.
Able to handle different fabrics and shrinkage.
Good knowledge to understand tech-pack image for development of pattern.
Able to understand spec development as per fabrics quality.
Good knowledge of fit review on dummy / model suggests for correction.
Good communication skill to be able to explain the concerns to designer vendors.
Positive approach toward improvement in work accept the challenge of work for company goal.
Experience of high fashion and fast fashion garments will be a plus.
Cross-check and validate the pattern Dimensions, Style Design.
Willing to work with tight deadlines.
Must have minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Fashion Garment Industry.
Only candidates that have relevant experience and are serious about working a full-time, office-based role in Karachi and are willing to interview in person will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Rs85,000.00 – Rs130,000.00 per month
